Position Overview:
Atherton family with two children, ages one and three, is seeking an early childhood development expert to join their team. The position will be based in California and will require the teacher to travel often, domestically and internationally.

Who We Are

For more than three decades, the Montessori Children's House of Durham has used the method and principles of Maria Montessori to lay the foundations for our children to become true citizens of the world. We are a nonprofit school founded in 1976 by a group of teachers and parents dedicated to the Montessori philosophy. MCHD has been an affiliate of the American Montessori Society since 1977, and in 1996 became the first school in North Carolina to receive AMS accreditation. Summer 2012 saw us move to a brand new campus on six acres, opening an exciting new chapter in our history.

MCHD enrolls children from 18 months through the sixth grade. Our children’s Montessori experience is enhanced by school families’ time, talent, diversity, and energy.
