Puddletown School is seeking a dynamic teacher aide to provide one-on-one for a student with Down’s Syndrome for the 2016/17 school year. This is approximately a 30-hour a week position, M-F 8-3 with potential for working till 4:30 running the elementary aftercare. Good Shepherd Montessori was founded in 1998 in the Ellsworth neighborhood in Vancouver, WA. The school is a ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. These positions are to start immediately. This position involves working with children between three months and two years of age, working with many adults, cleaning, gardening, and assisting children with mealtimes, bathroom, and sleep. This position requires an ability to be outside for up to 2+ hours a day in any weather. Montessori experience not necessary, however a respect for children and what they can teach you is a requirement. Center based classroom experience is required. A sense of humor is non-negotiable.
