Schedules, details, Reading Seminar 6, and documents added

 

In "General," the Weekly Assignment Detailed Schedule has been added as well as Daily Schedules for the first several weeks of this summer.  

We are refining some details related to Reading Seminars, and will post finalized documents for these soon. Below is information on this summer's first reading two Reading Seminars.

Friday, June 17:

5. Education and Peace 《教育與和平》:   

  • “Importance of Education in Bringing About Peace” (Part 3: Entire)  第三編:全部〈教育在帶來和平的重要性〉
  • “15. Educate for Peace” (Part IV: Address to the World Fellowship of Faiths) 第四編:在世界信仰大會上的演講辭〈15.和平的教育〉

1.         Describe the activities which develop the “motor mechanisms” of writing.

2.       How are reading and writing “fused from the beginning” in the Montessori Casa?

3.       Summarize the significance of the Moveable Alphabet.

4.       What are some of the ways that Montessori describes the role of a Montessori teacher in the development of written language among children?

5.     What are some specific ways that this chapter might guide you as your offer literacy to first plane children?
