International Student Information
Montessori Northwest is happy to work with international students on our Academic Year courses. For more information - see Step 6 of our application.
Montessori Northwest is certified through the Student and Exchange Visitor Program to offer I-20's for M-1 student visas.
We recommend that potential students who will require a student visa begin the application process no later than three months before their course of choice begins. It is also recommended that applicants take the time to review the website Study in the States.
APPLICATION FEE & INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FORM
A fee of $200 is required from all accepted International Students requiring a student visa. This is in addition to the standard enrollment fees.
Proficiency in English is critical to success on MNW courses. One of the following exams is required of all international applicants from non-English speaking countries:
- Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) – Scores: Internet-80, Paper Based 550
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Score: 6.5
Applicants who hold degrees outside of the United States must have a course by course evaluation and/or translation of their academic records done by an approved evaluation services before they can be considered for admission. MNW recommends World Education Services, Inc. (www.wes.org)
