This 12-hour course will be offered at various times, formats, and locations throughout the year. The course will introduce the history of Montessori education, foundational concepts in human development from early childhood through young adulthood, the development of independence and responsibility, and key elements in preparing environments that support learning at all ages.
The courses will be led by AMI trainers with extensive classroom experience working with children and adults. At Montessori Northwest, our exemplary trainers lead students and Montessori professionals through Montessori teacher training, continuing education workshops and professional development opportunities.
This is a 12-hour course, offered in Portland, the San Francisco Bay Area, and elsewhere throughout the year.
Instructors: All courses will be lead by AMI Trainers or AMI trained teachers with extensive classroom experience working with children and adults.
Locations: Currently being offered in Juneau, Alaska,
Audience: This course is designed for any adult who works with children. This includes but is not limited to: teachers, after-school instructors, program administrators, nannies, and grandparents. This course is also ideal for those interested in learning more about the formal trainings offered at Montessori Northwest.
