Are you looking for a job in Montessori? Does your school have employment to offer? Our Annual Montessori Job Fair is a great opportunity for schools who are hiring to easily connect with potential applicants in person.

Annual Montessori Northwest Job Fair

 The 2019 Job Fair will be Saturday, March 2, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

The Montessori Job Fair has historically been an opportunity for job seekers to connect with potential employers at the training center in Portland. While the job fair is still the main focus, this year’s event will also serve as a community gathering, reunion, open house, and more! Individuals in any career stage can network, socialize and discover new ways to become involved in the Montessori community. Prospective students are also welcome to attend to see our facility, learn about Montessori teacher training and explore available job opportunities.

Schools and Organizations:

Registration is now open for schools and organizations wishing to promote employment opportunities on March 2, 2019.

If you can attend in person, the fee is $100 per table.

Schools or organizations who cannot attend the event but would still like to promote employment opportunities, can do so for a $25 administrative fee. Job postings and organizational information will be prominently displayed at the event.

Job Fair Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where and when will the NW Montessori Job Fair take place?
The Job Fair typically takes place the first Saturday of March, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Montessori Northwest: 622 SE Grand Ave, Portland, OR 97214 (map).

Q: What are the hours of the Job Fair? Do I have to attend the entire event?
Job seekers can drop-in any time between 10:00am-1:00pm.

Q: Does it cost to attend?
Job-seekers do not need to register nor pay to attend the NW Montessori Job Fair. There is a $100 Tabling Registration Fee for schools and job-providers to secure a table.

Q: What is included in the Tabling Registration Fee?
One 6’ x 3’ table, two chairs, one 8"x11” acrylic sign stand, and your name listed online. Access to electrical outlets is limited. Indicate your want for electrical access on your application.

Q: Do I need to be AMI/Montessori-trained to attend the Job Fair?
No. We anticipate schools and administrators to post a full spectrum of employment found within Montessori learning communities. This will certainly include the need for trained guides, though other positions like teacher-aids, office staff, after-school childcare providers, and activity specialists do not typically require Montessori training.

Q: How do I register for a table?
Tabling assignments will be made on a first-come-first served basis. All participating organizations need to submit the $100 fee and fill out the online form. Confirmation will be sent to you within one week of receipt of the payment.

Q: What is the confirmation process for tabling?
Specific space will be assigned and confirmed by Montessori Northwest upon receipt of full payment of fees. Please note that space is limited and the ability to table may sell out. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
There will be no refunds issued for the Montessori Northwest Job Fair. Job-Providers acknowledge that cancellation of their contract includes forfeiture of access to table at the function.

Q: Am I guaranteed to find a new employee or to secure a job if I attend?
No. Montessori Northwest does not endorse any employers nor applicants that are affiliated with the Job Fair. All participants are responsible for their own research about schools, positions, and interviewees. Montessori Northwest is not responsible for the quality of any applicant hired for any position.

Ample free and metered parking can be found on the streets surrounding MNW.
