Proposed Seattle Primary Training Course
Montessori Northwest has proposed an Association Montessori International (AMI) satellite training for primary education to begin this Summer. The goal is to bring AMI training to the Seattle area.
The proposed course will consist of three six-week sections during the summers of 2017, 2018, and 2019, with one additional week of instruction during Spring Break of 2018. The proposed location is Highline Public School in Des Moines, Washington (map). Mary Raudonis Loew is the proposed Director of Training for this primary course. Mary has been working in the field of Montessori education since 1963 when she received primary training in Washington DC. She has 23 years of classroom experience and has established primary training courses in three cities. She has offered workshops in all area of Montessori pedagogy, and serves as a consultant and examiner for AMI.
As part of the certification of this training by AMI, we must demonstrate that that enough interest exists to make the course financially feasible. We will need a minimum of 22 students for the course to go forward. If you or anyone you know is interested in taking the course, please follow the link below for our interest form. This is not a firm commitment, but we need to ascertain whether there is enough interest to move forward.
We appreciate your support as we start off on this new venture to bring qualified AMI training to the Seattle area.
