Iceland - I love exciting geology!

A hobby
I’m a compulsive knitter and maker - I love to make things!

A favorite food
Yes! Food is a favorite! I love to grow it, prepare it, eat it.

Coast or Mountains?
Both! Where I live in Whatcom County, Washington, I get to be right between the North Cascades and the Strait of Juan de Fuca.

A surprising skill
Laying floor tile as well as many other construction skills.


Ellen Lebitz became an auxiliary AMI Elementary Trainer in 2018. She holds a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Studio Art from the University at Albany (NY), earned her AMI primary diploma in 1993 and elementary diploma in 1996 and has 17 years of administrative experience and 18 years of classroom experience at both the primary and elementary levels.
