Recorded Workshop – Mindfulness in Action for Children

What is Mindfulness? How does it manifest in our work with children? How does Montessori philosophy naturally align with the practice of Mindfulness?

In this workshop, AMI 3-6 Trainer Michelle Becka explores Mindfulness as the capacity to concentrate and be in the present moment. Look at how it facilitates the development of self-control and empathy in children, and its related impact on the child’s self-construction and the social life of the classroom community. Additionally, examine how the practice of Mindfulness supports brain development and self-regulation in all human beings. Lastly, reflect upon how to include it in the daily work and self-preparation of the adult.
